近日，美国CA系统宣布本科新生申请文书题目不变，因为目前的文书题目做得就挺好 (The current prompts do their job well)。既然题目没变，依然还是七选一（篇幅限于650词），留学党就早做准备吧！

1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, please share your story.

【话题：分享你的个体故事】一些学生拥有对于他们自己来说意义重大的背景、身份、兴趣或者才能。他们相信如果不谈的话，那么他们的申请就不会完整。如果这是在描述你自己的情况，请分享你的故事。

2. The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

【话题：从障碍中汲取教训】我们从障碍中汲取的教训可以是后来成功的基础。请叙述你遇到的一次挑战、挫折或者失败。它是如何影响到你，你又从中学到什么?

3. Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?

【话题：挑战某个信仰】请回想你曾经质疑或者挑战某个信念或者观点的时刻。当时是什么促使你那么去想？这样的质疑和挑战导致什么结果?

4. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma — anything of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

【话题：解决一个问题】请描述你已经解决的一个问题，或者你希望解决的一个问题。这个问题可以是智力挑战、研究疑点，或是道德困境等等，可以是任何对你而言非常重要的问题，而且大小不限。请解释它对你而言有何重要意义，你采取了什么措施或者可能采取什么措施以找出解决方案。

5. Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.

【话题：个人成长】讲述一个成就、事件或者感悟，讨论它如何促进你成长，或者让你重新认识自己或者他人。

6. Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?

【话题：什么吸引了你】描述让你无比着迷以至于忘却时间的一个话题、想法或者概念。它为何让你着迷？当你想要了解更多时，你会通过什么或是谁？

7. Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you’ve already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
